Zero regrets. While some people thought that taking this time off of school was a bad idea, I don't regret it one bit. Coming back to live at home was a tough move, but to be honest- it's not nearly as bad as I had anticipated. I've enjoyed spending time with my parents and with my little sister. I've gotten to know them all a lot better, and I've also had the chance to get to know Carli's boyfriend.
It hasn't been highly entertaining or anything, but I've somehow found things to do. I've worked on homework (finally done with one class, three to go!), babysat (mostly for the Browns and Lowes), and worked occasionally at my great-aunt's cafe. I've gotten to hang out regularly with Amanda, see Liz before she travels to British Columbia, and Daric and I have picked back up on watching movies. And I get excited about weekends, because that means Brian will be home for a day or two, and then I can hang out with him, too.
It's really been a tough week for me emotionally. Tuesday, Amanda and I hung out and we got to work on planning her bachlorette party. It finally hit me that in less than three months, she'll have a new name and a husband. I'll miss her more than I can possibly express, but we're already planning trips to visit one another. I am so happy for her and Kyle, but very sad about the whole Connecticut thing.
I was thinking about my future last night and realized something. In making the decision to return to Asbury, I have essentially planned out the next five years in my life. Anyone that knows me would understand the significance of me planning anything. But I have about two years until I graduate, and then I'll be teaching, hopefully in a school either in Lexington or Louisville. If I have no real commitments or obligations after I graduate, I am considering applying for "Teach for America," an organization that would place me in a school system that really needs teachers.
Anyways... It had been a while since I updated last. Not that a lot of fascinating things have happened. Although, I did turn 21 (for future reference- Sangria is gross and Moscato is amazing!) and got my first ticket, boo.
